Overview
World War II can be taken in many different ways. Some feel that Hitler started it all, and others believe it started elsewhere. The war began on September 1st, 1939 and lasted until September 2, 1945, affecting the almost the entire world, with the exception of Japans war in Asia beginning pre-1939. This war was between the Allies and the Axis, two of the greatest powers in the world. It involved over 100 million people around the globe. The war was also a total war, meaning that the powers took everything that they had and risked it all to support the war, such as their economic and industrial resources. Yet, all of the powers did not do this, only the major ones. The war ended with up to 85 million casualties, marking the deadliest and most fatal conflict in history.
Japan’s empire wanted to dominate and take over East Asia, when already being at war with the Republic of China. Many say that this is what started the world I war but, this war was sparked by Hitler’s invasion of Poland, which happened September 1st, 1939. This happened at 4:45 in the morning, when 1.5 million troops began to invade. During this year until 1941, Germany decides to form an ally, called the Axis, with Italy. They then went on to conquer almost all of continental Europe. Then Germany and the Soviets annexed the territory between the two, including the Baltic states, Poland and Finland. For the Allied forces, The British commonwealths and the United Kingdom were the only “major” ones continuing to fight and go against the Axis. The war continued for six more years and one day, until Nazi Germany and Japan were defeated in 1945.

In June 1941, there was an invasion of the Soviet Union. Six months later, Japan joins the Axis power. These powers attack the United States, then begin to conquer most of the Pacific. They continued to advance, yet this stopped in 1942.Japan lost a battle, near Hawaii, and this ended everything for Japan. The Allied Invasion sparked the surrender of the nation, leaving the Axis lost and out of place. Then in 1944, the Soviets get all of their territorial losses back, putting them in power, they decide to invade Germany. While this is going on, the Western Allies invade France. From this time until 1945, Japan went through a hard struggle. They suffered reverses on their mainlands. The United States saw this as an opening and defeated the Japanese Navy.

This World war was traced back to the first world war (1914-1918).What some may not generally think of is the fact that this wolrd war also changed the political ways of each country and the way each society took and went about living in those countries. After seeing this, the United Nations was made to avoid further conflict in the future. This United Nations had a Security Council that was made of the victors of the war(the United States, the Soviet Union, the United Kingdom,France, and China). Their places as the security council were permanent and no one could take power from them. The United States and the Soviet Union became “superpowers.” After this, most of the countries tried to get back to where they were and the countries that were greatly damaged from this war, just focused on building their economy, and making sure it was fair and comfortable for the whole country.

.”The war was directly blamed by the victors on the miltant nationalism of the Kaiser's Germany; it was Germany that effectively started the war with an attack on France through Belgium,” (http://world-war-2.info/) Everyone that learnes about this war has a different view on what really happened. All in all, it was a total war that affected a mass amount of people. So many died and suffered from diseases, that it does not matter as much who started it, but how it ended. Every country that was apart of this war is to be blamed. One nation has to be strong and smart with how they go about with dealing with other countries. If you do what is best for you, be prepared for a different outcome but, if you do what is best for your country, be prepared to be called a “superpower.”
